Mr.Pravit Rojanaphruk
Pravit Rojanaphruk is a Senior Political Reporter of The Nation newspaper?one of Thailand?s leading newspapers (www.nationmultimedia.com). ?He earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Development from University of the Philippines in 1989, and Master of Science in Social Anthropology from Oxford University in 2001. Through his career as a reporter and columnist, he has taken a number of fellowships, for example, the Reuter Fellowship, University of Oxford (1997), Katherine Fanning Fellowship for Journalism and Democracy, Kettering Foundation, Ohio (2009), Centre for Human Rights and?Democratic Development,? the Canadian Parliament (1994), and Salzburg Seminar Fellowship, Salzburg Seminar on International Media, Salzburg, Austria (2004). He was awarded an Outstanding Journalist in 1995 by Sathirakoses Nagapradipa Foundation. He has published a number of books and book chapters, including ?Wishes and Lies: Feature Stories from Thailand?, ?Does Free Press Really Exists?, and ?Thai Political Crisis and Media Politicisations?, as well as a long article ?Thai electoral Crisis? published by?the Seoul-based Asian Regional Exchange for New Alternatives (ARENA).
